History
This part of the West Highlands is steeped in Scottish Highland Gaelic History. Outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor lived here at Monachyle Tuarach before he was married. His wife and family stayed here once he was outlawed. The last MacLarens emigrated from the still abandoned neighbouring croft at Invernenty in 1803.
